| Organization Profile: | GWT-TUD GmbH (GWT), a private company based in Dresden, Germany, was established in 1996 and forms a subsidiary of the TUDAG Enterprise Group. With its more than 200 employees and an annual turnover of about 18 million Euro, GWT belongs to the larger technology transfer companies in Germany. Management and staff of GWT refer to their professional expertise and experience within the academic and research environment as well as the industry. GWT mainly commercialises high technology developments, provides a business framework and offers support for RTD and its industrial exploitation and dissemination. In addition, GWT acts as co-ordinator and manager of large interdisciplinary projects on local, regional and international level. GWT is contract partner to the industry and thus assumes responsibility for managing projects of mission oriented research and development. It contributes RTD solutions, products, patents and personnel into joint projects. Efficient monitoring and co-ordination of interdisciplinary projects are matters of the utmost importance in order to realise the planning and objectives within the target time, cost schedules and the expected quality. GWT meets the requirements of industry and scientists by providing professional service management such as - customer service - contract management - human resource management - procurement of materials - project management - financial administration and controlling. The headquarter and further R&D locations in Dresden as well as the branch office in Chemnitz use a large network of partners, throughout Germany, abroad and overseas, within the industry (companies from all branches and all sizes) and in the field of research and development, including public and private institutions, universities and governmental authorities. As an incubator platform GWT also offers scientists the possibility to build up enterprises of their own, with the entrepreneurs being able to make use of GWT’s entire know-how.
