Masaryk University, Brno University of Technology, South Moravian Innovation Centre, Regional Chamber of Commerce Brno, Transport Research Centre and FIRST Innovation Park organized in collaboration with the European Commission, DG INFSO, and invited EU project coordinators, partnering event in the field of Information and Communication Technologies of the 7th Framework Programme (ICT, FP7).
ICT Brokerage 2009 was held under the Czech Presidency of the European Union as an accompanying event of the conference Research Connection 2009.
ICT Brokerage 2009, which is one of the projects of the Regional Innovation Strategy of South Moravian Region (RIS 3), was held in Brno, the second largest city of the Czech Republic and a strong base of research and innovation planning huge investments into top class infrastructure in the field of ICT. The brokerage event was accompanied by information day on the following challenges of the ICT Work Programme 2009:
- Pervasive and trusted network and service infrastructure
- Cognitive systems, interaction and robotics
- Components, systems and engineering
- Digital libraries and content
- Towards sustainable and personalised healthcare
- ICT for mobility, environmental sustainability and energy efficiency
